Review of the Type O Negative show in Poughkeepsie NY

By: Brian

Well, I was beaten to it, so I'm not going to give the setlist, but a quick review

My second TON show, and the band themselves were great, although Pete claimed his throat was fucked up. The worst part were these asshole prissy girls trying to star shit with my friends because one of their hair was in her face. (If you're out there, FUCK YOU!!!!!!). When in the pit, this one girl kept trying to knee me in the balls and kick me in the shins with her boots to get to my girlfriend and our friends. I was getting my ass kicked by some stoned out prep to keep her from getting to my friends and it PISSED ME OFF. It got so annoying that I had to get out or I would not be able to enjoy myself.

That didn't matter, though, because we went out to the bus to see the guys afterwards. Josh came out first, in a hooded jacket, so I didn't recognize him. I said hi and smiled because he looked familiar. Then he walked away and my friend Stephanie said "hey, josh". He said hi and everyone ran after him afterwards. I still didn't recognize him. Me and my friends got a picture with him. Johnny was next. I brought my CD for him to sign and he went back on the bus because he "Forgot something". he came back signed some stuff, We got our picture with them too. When I asked him if he didn't mind signing an album he didn't play on (BK), he said, "It's OK, I get paid for it!".

They were all pretty witty, but Pete was the best. When he came out, someone said "Hey, Pete, how's it going?" He responed with "Fine, until I was born". LOL! My g/f told Pete it was her birthday and he sang Happy Birthday to her. Then when getting our picture taken with Pete he said "What is this? The Addams Family?" Later on, I asked Pete if his hand was tired from signing everything. He said "My hand? Nahh...I'm used to going like this" Then he made a jerk off motion. He was so cool and funny! And they were all so down to earth. The only other guys that I've met that were this nice were Life Of Agony, which shows why TON is such good friends with LOA. When the pics of us with the band and the pics of the show come out, I will see if I can get someone to put them up on the web so everyone can see them.
