Review of the Type O Negative show in Denver, CO

By: Patrick Dixon

the first two bands just sucked... Dakota Boring and manhole... the first one was your typical alterno-pop band with the pretty boy lead singer, etc... the second was Rage Against the Machine from a Feminine point of view. don't get me wrong, i hate Rage. i didn't like 'em with a male singer, and i don't like 'em with a female singer. (especially that bitch).

Type O just ruled... they played "Light My Fire" by the doors... how cool is that? they opened up with "Suspended In Dusk" (middle of the pit) and by the second song, i was already being pushed towards the right side of the pit (where all the hardcore Death metal fans were... pretty scary), and they just ruled. so i got hit in the head with some crowd-surfer's leg... so i got man-handled in the middle of the pit. i still had a blast... it is DEFINATLY worth going to. they sold out the theater, and it was REEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY good... oh, and guys: there were many attractive women there... and ladies: there were lots of cute guys (i'm not gay, but my boyfriend is... ;9) and i think that Kenny is actually a bit better looking than Lord Pete. (i screamed that a few times, but he payed no mind...) oh, and they just have the most incredible stage presence, and Pete says something really cool at the end: "It is not us here on stage that are responsible for our success, it is all of you down there buying our stuff that makes us successful, so don't go eat any poison candy; just look what it did to my face!" it was pretty damn cool... i wanna go again! (after the first two bands are done...) (Hey jester: where teh hell were you?)
