Review of the Type O Negative show in San Francisco, CA

By: Holly

I went to the Filmore last night for the show. Got there about 7:30 and met up with Diane(unshetek) and Paul Krewin (also on the list). Paul met Peter out front of the Filmore before the concert. Actually, we all got to meet Peter but I will get to that later. The Filmore is a pretty neat place, I had never been there before but I won't get into that.

Manhole - Chick singer who could really belt it out. I liked them. Their bass player was pretty good too.

Life of Agony - Everybody else liked them. I didn't. The singer looked like a miniature Perry Farrel.

Then after a long wait, Type O Negative. First off, I stood through Life Of Agony to insure that I got a good place for Type O. Before Type O started, I was dead in front of Peter about 3 users off of the barrier. Perfect. Then some roadie who had been tuning Peters bass for him whisked me off to the side, introduced himself as Mark and told me to stick around the side by him and at the end of the show he would get get me up stage side. Well, needless to say I was SUPER excited. Unfortunately, it was for nothing. After losing my excellent place because the damn roadie promised to take me stage side, he just didn't! JERK! I am still pissed about this this morning. Also, met Rich. He was rather short as well. Saw him again on my way out and he explained that he was working and just couldn't talk so I think that he is not trying to alienate anyone, it's just he's at work. Anyway, after the show went outside saw the buses and then soon after they walked out of the buses and that's when we met Peter. Also met Johnny right before that. I only said Hi to Peter. Diane spoke more to him and I will let her tell you all about that. I left after that & I think that Diane & Paul probably spoke to them again after I left. I can't remember the exact set list but it was the same as the one someone posted about a week ago. The only songs off of OR they played was MGG and Love you to Death. It did seem more like they were touring for BK than OR! They sounded great. Pete's bass made my new fillings in my teeth rattle. I guess that's about it.......take it away Unshetek!!!

Moral of the story as told to me by Unshetek: NEVER TRUST ROADIES
