CARNIVORE REUNION FOR REISSUE RELEASES? (23-NOV-2000, RoadRunner)

Rumor has it, again this is just a rumor thus far, but it is possible that you may get a chance to go back in time 12 years and see this legendary act play live. Yes, I have heard that CARNIVORE may get back together for a few live shows in support of their upcoming releases. If so, the band lineup would be the "Retaliation" LP lineup (check CARNIVORE photo gallery if you are looking for the names). Unfortunately, if this does happen, I am told that these will be NEW YORK area ONLY shows. Have any vacation time coming up??? More to come... WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS??? PLEASE!!!

CARNIVORE UPDATE... (14-NOV-2000, RoadRunner)

The Carnivore Reissues are having the final mastering touches completed this week. For those of you who are unaware, Carnivore is the metal-hardcore act that Peter Steele used to front before the days of Type O Negative. Carnivore put out 2 LP's ("Carnivore" and "Retaliation") on Roadrunner before calling it quits. Known for their brutal live shows, Carnivore were a driving force in the New York hard music scene in the late 1980's.

These new reissues will each have 3 previously unreleased tracks, and new packaging that stays true to Peter's original vision for the band. Wait till you see the photos in the package, priceless!

Update on the supposed Twisted Sister tribute...(28-SEP-2000, unconfirmed)

According to Dee Snider: "the songs Type O is considering are "Burn in Hell" and/or "We're not gonna take it", they were interested in "Under the blade" but that was taken already, another song choice might be "I am, I'm Me" ... also heard Type O was being a bit squeamish about the money involved... So what?!? I'd be squeamish about the money too when I had to do a TS cover. JG

Clean and Dirty

"Least worse of Type O Negative" will be released in two versions: a "clean" and a "dirty" version. Trick or Treat? Definitely a trick and definitely the dirty version will be a treat with one extra "previously unreleased song". "It's Never Enough" will not appear on the Clean Version (because of the text "Fuck you God...") and "Gravity" replaces "Unsuccessfully Coping".

Limited Type-O Touring Dates (From Roadrunner)

On the Touring side of things, keep your eyes open for Type-O-Negative. Though nothing has yet to be confirmed...Just as they do every Halloween, expect Type-O to play some East Coast dates for this blessed holiday, amen. As well, they will most likely go out for about three weeks worth of touring around everywhere basically, except for the West Coast. Damned Sunshine. Remember, Halloween will also mark the day of their new release. More details to come.

Type O Negative will return to the stage friday the 22^nd of September 2000 in Mexico City together with Pantera. They were asked because Slipnot dropped out...
Maybe TON will also be with Pantera on the rest of their US tour???

Twisted Sister tribute?!?

Type O Negative have been asked to appear on the upcoming Twisted Sister tribute album. It depends on the revenues whether they actually do it but I'm wondering which song? We're not gonna take it???

Least worse of Type O Negative

...is the title of the greatest hits album. Let's hope it will turn gold like October Rust did the other day. Add this to the platinum status of the Mortal Kombat and Private Parts CDs and Bloody Kisses (gold) and you keep wondering why Peter is still living in his mother's basement (quote: Josh Homme)

Greatest hits!?!

Seems the boys are taking it not so easy. A greatest hits album is planned for October 31 (Halloween) with the hits, rare tracks and previously unreleased material. So all TON has to release through Roadrunner are 1 studio album and 1 live CD.
The After Dark DVD finally will see the light on September 11.

Not much news lately

Seems the boys are taking it easy. Although... Peter will be singing one track (Just Say No) on Tony Iommi's first ever solo CD that is scheduled to be released on October 10, 2000 (the latest)

RR news

Brooklyn?s "Drab Four" are currently back in New York taking a well-deserved break before writing album number 5.In the meantime the band are set to release a DVD version of their ?After Dark? video on July 24th. Bonus material set to be included include the "Everything Dies" video, band bio, photo gallery, web links,iscography, and maybe even some unreleased tracks. Mainman Pete Steele is also overseeing the remastering and repackaging of both of the albums from his pre-TON days, Carnivore.The albums, entitled ?Carnivore? & ?Retaliation?, are more Hardcore than TON?s Gothic Metal and are particular faves of a certain Philip Anselmo. Look out for their release later this year.

European Tour ?

It very much looks like it that the guys will be doing some European festivals around the end of June/begin of July. Well, it didn't look like it that much. They're not coming!
